Aram Nagar 1 (16 acres of land) was used by the Biritsh as an anti-submarine training base. During Partition, the government turned it into a transit camp for migrants. Almost all the original residents have either moved out, or retreated to upper floors or annexes to make way for the ambitious surge of the film and entertainment industry. As actors, film-makers, photographers, choreographers and other creative people began to move in, the sprawl began to assume its present character of shabby alleyways and hidden studios. Every day these creative folks are seen walking around in the maze of quaint houses searching for offices.
To make these offices people-friendly to find, we initiated an illustrated map of the place. It is a detailed map with studios, offices, landmarks shown creatively to ease the house finding adventure.
